Hi, I’m Sophie Scott
With over twenty years at the heart of the film and television industry, I am a Unit Publicist, communications, and public affairs specialist who has shaped some of the most high-profile campaigns in entertainment.
My current focus is providing unit publicity services for major tentpole films and HETV. I bring extensive experience in theatrical release campaigns and corporate communications to lead strategy through production. This includes overseeing all on-set creative materials—EPK production and supervision, unit stills, press set visits, and marketing shoots—as well as managing public relations in close collaboration with filmmakers.
Previously, I served as Director of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at Warner Bros. International, and have worked on over 100 film campaigns across Icon Film Distribution, Freud Communications, and Warner Bros. UK. I am known for a calm leadership style; you can rely on me to lead efficiently while retaining a sense of humour throughout.
Beyond the Industry
I am a lifelong theatre lover, a passion sparked by the Gantry Youth Theatre in Southampton and developed whilst studying at the University of East Anglia, Norwich and Occidental College, Los Angeles. I continue to support independent and new writing spaces, having volunteered for the Norwich Playhouse, the Arcola in Hackney, and currently Bridport’s Lyric Theatre in West Dorset.
I am proud of my working-class roots—my family history is a tapestry of Hackney Jewish immigrants and Clydebank shipbuilders—and I am deeply committed to opening doors to the creative industries for people from underrepresented socioeconomic backgrounds. After seven years living on a narrowboat, I am now based between coastal West Dorset and London with my dog Clyde, a regular visitor to set.
